Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2023: Check Eligibility for Class 11th
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) has announced the commencement of online applications for admission to Class XI for the academic year 2023-24. The admission process is open to eligible students against the vacant seats likely to be available in JNVs across the country. The selection for admission will be based on a selection test, which will be conducted by an external agency as per the policy of NVS.
To be eligible for applying, candidates need to fulfill certain criteria. Firstly, the candidate’s date of birth should fall between 1st June 2006 and 31st July 2008 (both days inclusive). This criterion applies to all categories of candidates, including those from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. It is important to note that candidates who have already passed Class X before the session 2022-23 are not eligible to apply.
Secondly, the candidate must have completed Class X from a Government or Government-recognized school affiliated with the CBSE or any other State Education Board or Government-recognized Board in the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is located. This should have been completed during the academic session 2022-23, which spans from April 2022 to March 2023 or January to December 2022.
The Lateral Entry Selection Test for admission to Class XI in JNV Anantnag against the vacant seats for the academic session 2023-24 will be conducted on Saturday, 22nd July 2023, at 11.00 A.M. Interested candidates are required to submit their online applications by the deadline, which is 31st May 2023. In case of any errors or modifications, a correction window will be open on 1st and 2nd June 2023.
To apply for admission in Class XI at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, candidates can directly fill out the online application form on the NVS website, www.navodaya.gov.in. The process of registering for the Lateral Entry Selection Test 2023 has been simplified and can be completed free of cost through the application portal.
